Application Process

Thank you for your interest in BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy!

You can find a PDF version of the application here.

BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy guides Jewish young adults (18+) on therapeutic expeditions.  Our program uses wilderness and adventure-based experiences as a vehicle to promote therapeutic growth, in a process guided and directed by a licensed mental health professional. Students are accepted on a rolling basis, and intakes occur Mondays through Thursdays. Our team is here to help you navigate the admissions process.

Application Process

  1. Our process typically begins with a conversation between our admissions team and the family.  Please call (720) 930-4390 to speak to an admissions staff.
  2. After our initial conversation, families fill out the application.  Applications can be faxed to (303) 261-8210 or mailed to 300 S. Dahlia St. Suite 205, Denver CO 80246.
  3. Our clinical team will review your application and arrange an interview with the applicant and his or her parents.  This interview helps BaMidbar ensure that applicants meet our admissions criteria, and help us us better understand the unique needs of each student.  It is also an opportunity for the family to interview us and ensure we can meet their needs.
  4. If BaMidbar is a good fit, we will finalize enrollment and arrange admissions logistics.  Students are accepted on a rolling basis, and length of stay averages 8-10 weeks.

Arrival Day

Upon arrival, every student is evaluated by a doctor for health and wellness (including blood work), and is given a Mental Status Examination by a licensed therapist.  Students must be medically stable and have completed any withdrawal or detoxification needs before entering the program.  BaMidbar has relationships with local inpatient and detoxification facilities, and will refer clients to alternate placements if their medical or psychological condition upon arrival differs from what was communicated to the program in the admissions process.   Therapists will call the family within 24 hours of the student’s arrival.
