Student Profile

Emerging adulthood is a time characterized by identity exploration, self-focus, instability, feeling in-between, and an age of possibilities.  While this can be an exciting time of change and opportunity, many emerging adults struggle to find themselves, their passion, and their place in society.  The manifestation of these struggles are often expressed through depression, anxiety, negative life patterns, and an inability to live life to its full potential.

We help Jewish youth build resilience and overcome obstacles.  Our Therapeutic Expeditions serve emerging adults 18-28 who may or may not have a history of mental health challenges, but who are struggling to find their way forward as they transition from adolescence into adulthood.  Life challenges may include:

  • A “failure to launch”
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Identity exploration
  • Negative life patterns
  • Social anxiety
  • Mild substance use or abuse
  • Academic or employment challenges
