Wellness Without Overwhelm with Congregation Beth El

Dates: April 25, 2021
Location: Virtual

Course Details

As we all juggle competing demands, our mental, social, emotional, and spiritual health are taking a toll. What is “whole-health wellness,” and what helps you live well? How do we prioritize and practice self-care during these very challenging times? In this interactive Zoom session with BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy, we will explore a multidimensional approach to wellness and self-care that can be used as a framework to support self-reflection and a quest for balance during these challenging times. This session will also explore how Jewish tradition can support our whole-health wellness.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know: Approach mental health through a multi-dimensional wellness lens, and understand how this multidimensional approach can help us understand a) why COVID is impacting our mental health, and b) how prioritizing wellness in multiple areas of our lives (social, emotional, physical, spiritual etc.) can help our mental health.
  • Do: Apply tactical tools learned during this session to nurture self-care and wellness during this unprecedented world moment.
  • Feel: Connection to others, gratitude for where we are now, and hope for the future.
