My Approach: As someone who has always worked in peer-based mental health, I believe in client-directed care. As a therapist, I take an integrated approach using different modalities depending on what my clients are looking for. I often employ a combination of behavioral skill-building techniques from various sources. I also believe that some of the most impactful work for building a long-term happy life comes from the deep psychological work of meaning-making by exploring one’s identities, beliefs, motivations, and values.
